Home furnishings supplier targets diversification with fresh acquisition
Leeds-based Riva Home has acquired Voyage Maison, a Glasgow-based manufacturer, supplier and retailer of premium home furnishings.
This comes only four years after the brand was acquired by Ashley Wilde Group.
Voyage Maison currently operates a trade department selling to both independent and major retailers – alongside a an e-commerce site selling direct to the consumer. It currently has over 4,000 self-manufactured homeware products.
Justin Green, managing director at Riva Home, said: “We are very excited to have Voyage Maison as part of our business.
“We have long been seeking a premium brand that is widely recognised and offers such a unique product proposition; allowing us to appeal to a more affluent demographic to help us diversify and grow Riva Home into a new space.
“The acquisition allows us to expand our UK manufacturing operation with the different capabilities Voyage [Maison] have at their Glasgow factory, and helps bolster the previous Staffordshire-based manufacturing acquisition made back in 2020.”
Riva Home intends to consolidate some of the existing Glasgow-based fulfilment operation into its newly refurbished 370,000 sq ft head office and distribution facility in Leeds.
This is designed to provide operational benefits such as accelerated lead times and an improved supply chain.
