Accountancy practice grows its footprint by acquiring two more offices

Accountancy firm, Brearley & Co, is accelerating regional growth with the launch of new offices in South Yorkshire.

The firm has acquired two offices in Doncaster and Chapeltown, Sheffield previously owned by FL Accounting. Founder of FL Accounting, Mark Jenkinson, previously operated as Sochall Smith Accountants, Sheffield for over 25 years, before demerging from this entity three years ago.

Jenkinson said: “We searched for over three years to find an accountancy practice that could take on our clients and team and Brearley & Co Accountants was my ideal choice. They have the structure, skill set and culture.

“We look forward to working with them and assisting their expansion.”

Brearley & Co accountants will retain all existing staff at FL, while growing the current services offered to its client base.

The expansion will take its office count to five, with the firm now having bases in Mexborough, Dinnington, Barnsley, Doncaster and Chapeltown.

Specialising in various sectors, the established firm has expertise in services such as taxation, self-assessment tax returns, debt recovery, payroll, annual accounts, VAT services, auto-enrolment services and financial advice.
