Printing company invests for success after securing grant
Leeds-based wide format printing and signage company, Imageco, has been granted a £45,000 grant by Leeds City Region Enterprise Partnership (LEP).
It recognises the firm’s commitment to improving entry-level employment opportunities within the city.
Imageco’s managing director, Nathan Swinson-Bullough, said: “We’re thrilled to announce we have been awarded a grant of £45,000 by LEP.
“The grant will allow us to further our investment into creating new jobs, growth and sustainable business development for our company.
“We would like to say a massive ‘thank you’ to the Leeds City Region Enterprise Partnership for granting us this funding.”
The grant means the business can acquire an essential new machine, the swissQprint Nyala 4 flatbed printer. It will allow the company to diversify its services by creating high-quality, high-volume wide-format print projects quickly and efficiently.
Over the past six months, the business has expanded its international offerings with high profile brands such as Dr Martens. The grant backing should open up more international, large-scale opportunities for the firm.
It will also allow Imageco to further invest in its current and future staff members. The business has made five recent entry-level hires and now has a total headcount of 28.
Swinson-Bullough added: “This boost in investment will not only allow us to take our work to the next level but also invest in our staff.
“We are committed to creating the best work environment for our employees, and a large part of that is supporting their long-term career growth.
“The grant given by LEP will allow us to give our new starters the training they need to succeed in the industry.”
