Workspace provider advances into new region as it prepares to open 10th site

Leeds-headquartered Wizu Workspace, which provides flexible workspaces across Northern England, is launching its newest location – Portland House in central Newcastle.

This marks the company’s 10th site and a milestone in its ongoing growth and expansion plan, having already established a presence with over 250,000 sq ft of workspace.

Portland House features 60,000 sq ft of space, with a mixture of traditional office lets and flexible workspace.

It is designed to accommodate a diverse range of businesses, from dynamic one-person start-ups to established corporates requiring over 100 workstations.

It has been developed by landlords Oliver Holland and James Keegan, who have now partnered with Wizu to deliver the new flex space.

The offering will include co-working areas, private offices, and state-of-the-art meeting rooms. It will also feature a tech platform providing access control, meeting room bookings and video conferencing facilities.

Tom Almas, CEO, said: “We recognised the demand for serviced offices in Newcastle has consistently outpaced supply, owing to the lack of high-quality flexible workspace.

“We chose this stunning new location as it embodies our signature style – beautifully restored and modernised heritage architecture in a prime location.”

Portland House is set to launch in November 2023 and is currently 20% pre-let.
