Full house at city shopping centre as new retailers take on space

The Victoria Leeds shopping centre says all its units are fully let for the first time since Victoria Gate opened in 2016. 

And a host of new tenants will occupy permanent or temporary residence between now and Christmas.

Victoria Leeds is seeing eight new openings between October and December.

Jo Coburn, senior manager, said: “We are thrilled that Victoria Gate is fully occupied, with every unit now filled and more to open in 2024.

“Victoria Leeds has long been a destination in its own right, but now fully let, there are even more opportunities for guests to take advantage of, and even more exciting new retailers moving in – many coming to the city for the first time.

“We’re anticipating a very busy festive period for everybody in Victoria Leeds.”

Among the latest arrivals will be home decor expert Cox & Cox, which will be moving into the Victoria Quarter in November, offering accessories, furniture, and soft furnishings.

Wolfe Bros of Yorkshire will launch a temporary base in the Victoria Quarter for the festive season for a second year, selling its artisanal gins, with flavours ranging from Pear & Fig to Orange & Bergamot.

Allertons will open a branch in Victoria Gate in November. It will offer hairdressing, massage, facials, body treatments, hair removal, manicures, pedicures, and brow and lash services. It also sells skincare, haircare, and wellbeing products.

Lingerie expert Pour Moi arrives at Victoria Gate in November, priding itself on catering to customers of every size.

Curated Makers will bring more than 40 local makers, artisanal, and small business to Victoria Gate as a temporary pop-up.

Another temporary arrival will be Raspberry Pi. Its pioneering single-board computers teach the basics of coding and computing in an affordable, approachable way.

And Libations, also a pop-up venture, comes to Victoria Gate this month. Founded in 2019, Libations showcases rum which is distilled, blended, and bottled in the UK. It also independently bottles rum from some of the world’s finest distilleries via its Cask Reserve Series.
