Top wine picks for your Christmas table

For this month’s expert review, we asked the Barrique team for their help to pick their perfect Christmas Wine. Edd, Jack and Liv gave us their top pick for the Christmas table…

Jack, Sales Account Director

Cabernet Franc is such an underrated grape variety in my opinion; this wine from Oliver Zeter showcases the style perfectly. Packed with blackcurrant and well-rounded tannins, this is an ideal winter warmer.

Drink this wine alongside soft cheeses on your perfectly curated charcuterie board, it also is a lovely complement to typical Christmas pates.

Edd, Managing Director

Botanica Pinot Noir is ideal for the Christmas dinner table; a Pinot Noir is always a crowd pleaser.

This wine is elegant and supple, has genuine concentration, bright red fruit, and hints of spice, delicious. Grab a bottle today and share with your friends and family.

I picked this Angel Sequiros Foudre Aged Albariño for its combination of fresh acidity in conjunction with its complexity of bottle ageing. I feel we don’t pay enough attention to white wines over the holiday season, so I am here to champion them!

Albariño is a great pairing for seafood, and I will be eating many prawn rings this Christmas.
