Software firm solidifies future with office investment and brand account wins

Software as a Service (SaaS) provider, Adventoris, has moved to its new office building in Huddersfield, Folly Hall Mills.

Over the next five years, the total investment into the property will be over £1m.

The move has been amplified by a hattrick of major client wins with fresh produce giant, Dole, commercial vehicle manufacturer, Isuzu Truck UK, and supermarket staple, Tilda Rice.

Adventoris, creator of B2B sales platform SwiftCloud, has experienced growth over the last 12 months, achieving just under £2.5m in turnover, a 28% increase year-on-year and its fourth year of profitable growth.

It now has a team of 50 members and 218 clients, with more notable brands coming onboard including Pepsi Co., Pukka Pads and AG BARR.

As well as the site move, development work has been undertaken, including creation of a suite of executive offices and a new board room, named the Armitage Suite.

The Armitage Suite is a tribute to Peter Armitage, a non-executive director at Adventoris and founding partner of Key Capital Partners, who died in March 2023. He was one of the original investors in the company and contributed significantly to the business over the years.

Located on St Thomas’ Road, Folly Hall Mills is a Grade II listed property built in 1844 by local builder, Joseph Kaye, who was the man behind many of Huddersfield’s distinctive buildings, including the railway station, George Hotel and Britannia Buildings.

The site has hosted a number of traders over the years, most notably the internationally acclaimed worsted yarn company, Joseph Lumb & Co, which is responsible for the creation of the Golden Bale medal, an accreditation for worsted yarn that is now an international standard.

As well as having a rich heritage in Huddersfield, the site has a personal connection with Adventoris’ CEO, James Clarkson, whose wife’s grandmother used to work on the looms there.

Clarkson, said: “This is a move that will help take Adventoris to the next level and solidify our place in the market, allowing us the space and opportunity to grow and develop the team and offering, while continuing to be a part of the wonderful Huddersfield business community.

“Folly Hall Mills is the ideal site for us to continue growing as we look ahead to further global expansion this year.

“I am proud that we can include a tribute to Peter in our new space, through the Armitage Suite. Peter was a huge part of the business and is greatly missed.”
