Synectics has been awarded contracts worth £4m with National Grid, trebling the number of sites it services under a four-year framework agreement.

The surveillance specialist will deliver security improvement works across 13 sites, adding to the existing seven.

The framework agreement – which runs to October 2026 – centres around the provision of CCTV and Access Control Systems throughout the National Grid estate.

Paul Webb, chief executive of Synectics, said: “We are delighted to have been awarded these new contracts with National Grid which further enhance our long-term partnership, delivering solutions together.

“We look forward to continuing to work with National Grid, ensuring their systems remain cyber-secure and effective.”

Synectics was awarded its first contract under the framework agreement with National Grid in October 2022. The contract will be delivered by Synectics’ Security division, which will be responsible for delivering the improvement works as well as providing ongoing support.

The works covered by these contracts are planned for completion in FY 2024.
