Relocation sees firm ‘invest in a piece of architectural history’

nineteen47, a planning and urban design practice with teams in York, Sheffield and the East Midlands, is relocating its Sheffield office to the landmark Park Hill development.

The practice, which has been enjoying a sustained period of growth, first opened its Sheffield base in 2021.

Park Hill, a “brutalist concrete icon” built in 1961, features the ongoing regeneration of Europe’s largest listed building.

nineteen47 says it hope that a move to this iconic location will be inspirational for its team.

Sheffield office director, Clare Plant, said: We are incredibly proud to have secured a piece of Sheffield history from which to continue building our business in the long term.

“Teaming up with Sheffield-based businesses who share our ethos, including OVO Spaces, Colloco, and Knights, has brought our vision for the new space to life.

“Since our Sheffield office opened three years, our team have secured a wide variety of interesting and prestigious project, including the Sheffield Heart of the City project, as well as supporting new housebuilder, honey to establish their presence in the city.

“We can’t wait to continue this work, as part of the Park Hill community.”
