Developer lodges plans for more than 100 homes

Proposals for 104 new homes in Shelf have been submitted to Calderdale Council by housebuilder Persimmon.

The site at Soaper Lane is allocated for housing in Calderdale’s Local Plan, which aims to increase the number and types of houses available to local homebuyers.

This application would deliver a mix of property types and sizes ranging from two to four bedroom homes. 31 one of the homes will be transferred to a local housing provider.

James Parkin land director at Persimmon West Yorkshire, said: “We’re pleased to have submitted plans for a new development in Shelf.

“This development will provide 104 high quality new homes for local homebuyers, built to a design in keeping with the local area.

“With the need for new housing rightly high up the political agenda, we’re pleased to be working with Calderdale Council and local stakeholders to deliver homes for first-time buyers, families and downsizers alike.”
