Key appointment confirmed for major logistics scheme

The Yorkshire industrial and logistics team at global property advisory firm Knight Frank have been appointed marketing agents by Baytree on its latest development – Baytree Leeds.

It comprises a 552,000 sq ft logistics scheme spanning three units in Stourton, South Leeds. Adjoining national occupiers include Royal Mail, Arla Foods, Verallia UK and Moran Logistics.

The site is next to the Leeds Freightliner Terminal, one of the busiest intermodal container terminals in the UK providing daily services to Felixstowe, Southampton and London Gateway.

Construction is already underway for two warehouse units of 76,285 & 145,476 sq ft with practical completion expected for quarter three this year.

The final plot is able to accommodate up to 330,000 sq ft on a build-to-suit basis.

Tom Goode, partner at Knight Frank Leeds’ office, said “Knight Frank are happy to have been appointed by Baytree on their market leading scheme in Leeds.

“The development will provide some much-needed speculative development in a prime Leeds location with unit sizes to accommodate a variety of occupiers.

Iain McPhail, partner in the Knight Frank Yorkshire team, added: “Baytree Leeds is being built to a market leading specification, targeting BREEAM Outstanding, EPC A & WELL ready standards.

“The buildings will also include technology allowing occupiers to monitor energy consumption & occupancy data in order to drive sustainability, energy efficiencies and building user wellbeing.”

Knight Frank has been appointed alongside JLL & DTRE.
