Planners give green light for dozens more homes

Developer Thomas Alexander Homes has secured approval from Harrogate & Knaresborough Planning Committee for 76 homes in the village of Staveley near Knaresborough.
The housebuilder says it will look to start works as soon as possible, with the first homes to be released later this year.
40% of the development is to be set aside for affordable housing.
Thomas Alexander Homes managing director, Alexander Blease, said: “We are very pleased that councillors have voted to approve these plans for much needed new homes in Staveley allocated within the 2020 Harrogate Local Plan.
“Our intention is to deliver zero carbon-ready, high-quality, beautiful living spaces that are sympathetic to the village.
“We will take the same pride and high attention to detail as we do on all our sites and homes.”
