Uncertain future for security and facilities management group

A South Yorkshire-based security, facilities management & stadium management business has filed a notice of intention to appoint administrators.

IPM Group, which is based at Westthorpe Business Innovation Centre in Killamarsh, employed about 295 people during 2023, up from 185 in 2022, according to its accounts for the year ended 30 June 2023.

The same accounts show the firm owed creditors more than £3.1m and had assets of a little over £3.2m.

The group began trading in 2006, offering security expertise. Since then it has expanded and now provides services ranging from CCTV installation and monitoring to commercial cleaning, secure courier provision, telecoms, stadium management, intruder and fire alarms.

Its clients and partners include Leeds United FC, Sheffield City Council and Leicester City FC.
