People: Walker Singleton; Switalskis; Hatch; and more

Property consultancy Walker Singleton has announced two promotions within its commercial and residential property teams.
Adam Powell has been promoted to director in the firm’s estate agency brand, WS Residential. Having started his career at Walker Singleton in 2004, he previously held the position of associate director and has more than 20 years of experience in the residential property management sector.
Jack Spencer has become associate director within the Walker Singleton’s commercial property team. He joined the firm in 2017 as trainee chartered surveyor and is now experienced in carrying out valuations across a range of property types, as well as managing commercial property portfolios.
Walker Singleton director Ben Waites said: “Adam and Jack fully deserve their promotions and is testament to their ongoing dedication to supporting clients within their respective specialisms.
“These promotions are evidence of our commitment to developing the property professionals within the firm and I look forward to seeing Jack and Adam thrive in their new roles.”
Walker Singleton currently employs 50 people across its offices, including ones in Leeds, Bradford, Halifax and Huddersfield.

Law firm Switalskis has appointed solicitor Callum Palmer to join its clinical negligence team.
Palmer qualified in 2000 and has since gained significant experience working for a number of leading law firms specialising in complex clinical negligence cases. He also worked for eight years defending clinical negligence claims on behalf of the NHS.
He said: “Switalskis has an impressive clinical negligence department in terms of experience, expertise, and size. I’m very happy to be joining Switalskis and look forward to progressing cases as part of this talented team.
“I pride myself on being compassionate and approachable, helping people through difficult moments while facilitating access to justice. I’ve worked on many clinical negligence cases and look forward to sharing my knowledge to help build on Switalskis’ success.”

Creative communications agency Hatch has announced a string of new appointments following a successful first six months of the year.
Matt Holmes joins from Sheffield agency Chapter II and will be stepping into the role of PR account manager across Hatch’s sport and lifestyle accounts, while Lucy Von Emloh, formerly of Unity PR, joins as junior PR account executive. Leeds Beckett alumni Robbie Carney also joins the PR team in a graduate executive role.
Hatch’s social media team is growing too, with Becky Heath joining as junior social media manager, and Chloe Kerfoot as junior social media executive.
The Leeds-headquartered agency also welcomes content producer Nick Scott and designer Eddie Neal to its in-house production and studio teams to deliver the agency’s busy pipeline of summer campaigns.

Flotilla, a Yorkshire-based net zero consultancy, is furthering its growth and enhancing its client services following a succession of significant new client wins with the appointment of Ben Taylor as ESG consultant.
Taylor, as part of the company’s new expansion into London, will be advising new and existing clients on their ESG strategies, while helping to grow the firm’s southern client base.
