Progress on major schemes helps Harworth build towards ambitious targets

Skelton Grange

Property group Harworth is on track to meet its ambitious 2027 targets after another strong period for planning approvals and land sales.

Harworth last month agreed a £107m serviced land sale to Microsoft for 48 acres at Skelton Grange near Leeds.

Yesterday it was revealed Harworth has been given outline planning consent for the development of 1.5m sq ft of industrial and logistics space and up to 300 new homes in Derbyshire.

Lynda Shillaw, chief executive of Harworth Group, said it “has been another strong first half for planning approvals and land sales”.

She said: “Harworth has continued to deliver against its growth strategy to reach £1bn EPRA NDV by the end of 2027 and we recently announced our intention to grow the Investment Portfolio to £0.9bn by the end of 2029.

“This growth will largely be driven by our existing Industrial & Logistics pipeline, which now totals 38.8m sq ft and will see the delivery of strategically positioned Grade A assets we intend to retain and hold.”

Harworth plans to keep 84% of the grade A space that is due to complete in the next year within its investment portfolio, adding £1.7m per year in rental income.
