Join us for our Harrogate Property Lunch

TheBusinessDesk.com, Raworths and Designtonic will be staging a Harrogate property lunch at Hotel de Vin, with guest speaker, William Birch & Sons managing director Paul Goyea.

Paul Goyea

The firm, now celebrating its 150th anniversary, has many links with Harrogate, and won a national award for its work at Bramall Learning Centre at Harlow Carr Gardens.

It upgraded educational facilities at Ashville College, maintains patient care and facilities at Harrogate Hospital, and enhanced the customer experience at Harrogate Turkish Baths.

As well as commercial work, William Birch & Sons has a keen interest in heritage work. Its restoration of the Carnegie Library won a regional award, and it has also done work at Fountains Abbey and Studley Royal.

It regularly maintains Harrogate’s iconic Betty’s Tea Rooms for Betty’s and Taylor’s.

Paul, who started his career as a civil engineer, was appointed to William Birch’s board within a year of joining the firm. When Chris Birch became company chair, Paul became the first person outside the Birch family to be appointed managing director.

He’ll reflect on the reasons why the firm has such longevity, outline the firm’s strategy for the future, and reflect on what lies ahead for the construction industry.

The event on Wednesday 4 September will offer an opportunity to network with Yorkshire’s professionals, a two-course lunch and welcome drink, as well as the chance to hear from William Birch & Sons’ managing director in an interview and Q&A led by TheBusinessDesk.com’s Yorkshire editor.

The property lunch will take place from noon to 3pm at Hotel du Vin, 11 Prospect Place, Harrogate. Click here to book a place.
