The Leeds Business Podcast is celebrating releasing its 50th episode this week, having launched at the beginning of August last year.

Since its launch, the podcast, hosted by Leeds-based Business Sounding Board Phil Fraser has now produced 50 episodes, featuring 44 different guests.

On a weekly basis, the podcasts feature interviews with a wide range of Leeds business owners and founders, getting them to share their personal business journey stories.

Guests have included TheBusinessDesk joint owner Lee-J Walker, Apprentice winner Rachel Woolford and ex-Leeds Rhinos star Jamie Peacock.

The podcasts have covered tales of £20m crashes caused by Covid, £50m business sales, £200m turnover businesses, the upset of leaving a family business, failed appearances on Dragons Den, a suicide attempt and everything in between.

To date the podcast has had over 8,500 downloads and almost 5,500 unique listeners.

In addition, the video version of the show has been viewed almost 7,000 times delivering 900 hours of viewing.

Fraser said: “Like throwing a party and wondering if anyone will come, I launched the podcast not knowing if anyone would listen.

“To reach 50 episodes is amazing and something I wasn’t sure I’d even get to. I love hearing, and sharing, the unique business journeys of founders and owners, and each one has had a fascinating tale to tell, filled with first-hand business lessons to learn from.

“To date feedback has been really positive. Plus, I have to say a huge ‘thank you’ to all the guests who have given up their time to come on the show.”
