‘Difficult trading conditions’ force closure of Keighley creative agency
A Keighley-based creative agency has been forced into administration with the loss of 26 jobs.
Simplybetter, which describes itself as an ‘award-winning creative events and engagement agency’, blamed the decision on ‘difficult trading conditions and unforeseen event cancellations’. It is run by directors Rob and Jenny Woodhead and was formed in 2001.
In a company statement, the duo said: “We extend our deepest sympathies and heartfelt apologies to all of those affected. Needless to say a number of alternative options were considered, but circumstances were such that this was the only viable solution. Our immediate focus is to support and help put plans in place for colleagues, customers and partners to help minimise where possible the impact of this decision.
“Simplybetter has often been described as an extended family, and the support and compassion shown by colleagues for each other over these difficult times has been nothing short of incredible, and testimony to them all as people.
“We would also like to take this opportunity to personally extend our thanks to all those outside of the organisation who have taken the time to call or message at such a difficult time for us all.”
The company’s website lists a number of high-profile partners, including the likes of Yorkshire Water, Skipton Building Society, Manchester United FC, Chanel and reckitt.
