Call centre group taken over by company that put it into administration

Sheffield customer service business CC33 has been taken over by the company which placed it into administration, TheBusinessDesk.com can reveal.
iCXperience, a privately-owned group of nine business processes outsourcing companies, announced it had acquired CC33 on Monday afternoon.
But TheBusinessDesk.com has learned that CC33 was put into administration on Friday by L10 Communications – which is owned by Liberate, one of iCXperience’s group companies.
L10 had registered a charge in September that gave it the power to appoint a receiver in the event of a default, which it chose to enforce. Xeinadin Corporate Recovery has been appointed to manage the administration.
A spokesperson for CC33 attributed the company’s failiure to “a bad debt as a result of a client going into liquidation and the consequential loss of commercial funding”.
iCXperience had been making formal preparations for a takeover within weeks of securing the charge over CC33 FS Ltd. The group’s owner, Baneet Singh, had formed a company last year which was then renamed CC33 Global in early November.
CC33 FS was overdue filing its 2024 accounts, but had recorded a £1.25m pre-tax loss the previous year.
It had blamed the losses mostly on the impact of the huge disruption in the energy market which meant “most energy clients either dramatically reduced their outbound sales activities or stopped them altogether”. Former director Klaus Bach had loaned the business £200,000 to fund working capital as it sought to win more work outside of the energy sector.
Despite CC33’s difficulties, iCXperience is bullish about its prospects and is looking to scale the business quickly.
It has promised to invest £15m in growing the Sheffield business, and wants to double its workforce to more than 1,000 people.
It has the target of increasing its £20m turnover to £50m “as quickly as possible”, said CC33’s founder and managing director Paul Fletcher.
CC33 will become the tenth company in the iCXperience Group, a £150m-turnover aggregator of BPO delivery businesses.
Reuben Singh, iCXperience Group
In a statement, iCXperience chief executive Reuben Singh said: “This acquisition is a key part of our expansion strategy, and we look forward to supporting the impressive senior management team as they embark on this rapid growth plan.
“This acquisition brings another new dimension to our CX [customer experience] offering for the corporate sector.”
Fletcher was also optimistic about the prospects for the business, which currently handles 35m calls a year.
“To have the support and investment from iCXperience is an incredible opportunity. It will provide us with greater financial investment, access to new technologies, and wider resources for our growth,” he said.
“This is a fantastic opportunity for us to grow CC33Global on an international scale.”
