Expanding group acquires defunct brewery’s brand

Keystone Brewing Group has confirmed it has secured the future of beer brands Magic Rock and Fourpure, both of which will join its growing portfolio of beverages.
Inspired by local brewing traditions and the US beer scene, Huddersfield-based Magic Rock Brewing was founded in 2011. Fourpure was established in London in 2013 and features a wide range of beers.
Since 2022, the holding company In Good Company Brewing has owned both brands, but in recent months, it fell into financial difficulties.
As reported earlier this month, Magic Rock filed a notice of intention to appoint administrators.
Mark Williams, Keystone CEO, said: “Keystone Brewing Group has secured an exclusive license with the brand owners to take these fantastic brands forward in the UK and worldwide.
“The Magic Rock brewery has unfortunately closed, and we are naturally saddened at the loss of the Magic Rock site, and the employees and their families directly affected by this.
“The Magic Rock brewery had already ceased brewing due to cash issues, several weeks prior to agreeing the deal today, as such there was no viable business left.”
Magic Rock and Fourpure join Keystone’s growing beer brand and cider portfolio including Black Sheep, Purity, Big Drop, Brick, Brew by Numbers, Wolf Pack, and premium cider brand Maison SASSY.
