Dental care provider relocates and opens larger site in £1.8m investment

A new mydentist Morley practice has been officially launched in Queen Street.

All dentists and staff from the previous Morley sites in Corporation Street and Windsor Court have moved to the new site in Queen Street following a £1.8m investment.

It means the 15,000 patients of mydentist in Morley should benefit from a modern practice, a greater range of dental treatments and technology, as well as improved travel links and wheelchair and disabled access.

There are 10 surgeries available at the new practice, with services including NHS dental care, private treatment options, hygiene and aesthetic services such as whitening, teeth straightening and implants.

The practice has recruited six more support team members and a further six dentists, allowing it to expand its future NHS availability. It also has room to expand to 15 surgeries in the future.

Nicola Wood, mydentist area development manager, said: “We’ve been working very hard to relocate to a more accessible site in Morley for just over three years, so to see the new practice finally open is fantastic.

“With 10 modern surgeries, we now have much more choice for patients, plus our team are benefiting from improved facilities.

“Our aim was to meet the needs of our patients and our team here in Morley now and in the future, and feedback so far has been extremely positive.”

Sarah Stephenson, practice manager, added: “With our recent enhancements and expanded services, we’re well placed to deliver a higher level of dental care and provide an even more exceptional experience to our community.

“The new practice is across one floor, making it more accessible for patients living with a disability or limited mobility, too.

“In a climate where accessing NHS dentistry is a challenge due to the shortage of dentists nationally, we’re really pleased to have been able to recruit new dentists and ultimately expand our NHS capacity in the near future.”
