Acquisition grows service offering at surveying firm

York-based chartered surveying firm, Gate & Bar, has acquired Architecturally Collaborated Design (ARC) on the back of four consecutive years of growth.

Gate & Bar was formed in 2019 and now focuses on the delivery of three main services – surveying, design and project management.

As part of the acquisition, ARC will be fully integrated into Gate & Bar’s service offering.

Chris Cook, director of ARC, will be joining Gate & Bar as the associate director of architecture.

He will be responsible for leading the business forward on architectural matters and championing the design element of our the firm’s services.

Nathan Hughes, director and chartered building surveyor, said: “I am really pleased to announce the acquisition of ARC and bringing Chris into the team.

“This really bolsters the services that Gate & Bar offer, in particular the design element of our three core services.
