Concrete results for specialist manufacturer after it expands lab facility

Bradford-based concrete admixture manufacturer, Oscrete, has expanded its concrete testing laboratory.
This means the business is doubling the number of trials it is undertaking for customers and increasing its ability to evaluate cements and additives which help reduce carbon footprint.
Director, Scott Wilson, said: “Our concrete lab is at the very heart of our business which serves our customers by problem solving, adding value and producing first class results.
“We are happy we now have an expanded lab facility which helps us to build on these strengths and ensure even more of our customers can benefit from our expertise – quickly and effectively.
“Our aim is to bring product and construction goals to life and we are pleased that with our expanded lab facility, we can continue do this at scale as well as giving our customers more opportunities to visit us, train with us and learn from our experienced and dedicated team.”
Oscrete has been trading for 42 years and currently employs 15 people.
The company, which has been shortlisted in the Innovation category of TheBusinessDesk.com’s Yorkshire Sustainability Excellence Awards, has a strategic plan to grow organically and by acquisition over the next five years.
In 2023 the firm completed a deal to secure a 90% shareholding of its official Northern Ireland-based distributor, Adcrete.
This year the business is focusing on investing further in the Adcrete premises, which facilitates its geographical expansion into the Republic of Ireland.
