Jobs secured as telecoms business swoops for communications specialist

Leeds-headquartered telecoms and technology firm, Northern Telecom, has confirmed its acquisition of the brand, business, and assets of Welsh communications specialist Dyfed Telecom.
The acquisition secures the future for the business and staff based in Kidwelly, Colwyn Bay and satellite offices.
The transaction marks the 16th acquisition for the Yorkshire-based group, which will continue to trade under the Dyfed Telecom brand within the newly formed Dyfed Telecommunications Ltd.
Dyfed Telecom is a key supplier of broadband connectivity in Wales, serving over 4,000 customers.
This acquisition takes the Northern Telecom customer base to over 6,500 customers and pushes annual revenue to nearly £8m.
Group managing director, Simon Rogers, said: “Dyfed Telecom is an impressive brand, which has built a loyal customer base and a reputation for delivering exceptional solutions across Wales and Shropshire.
“The acquisition of the Dyfed Telecom business adds to our talented team and opens up a new market to us, while giving customers access to a whole range of services that are being made available in Wales for the first time.”
“Most importantly, we want to protect what made Dyfed Telecom great, and ensure it remains the go-to provider for broadband, mobile and voice services in Wales.”
Jon Graves, director at Northern Telecom, added: “We’re incredibly excited to welcome the Dyfed Telecom team into the Northern Telecom family.
“Dyfed is a key player in the Welsh telecoms market, and this acquisition strengthens our position significantly.
“Taking the business to over 6,500 customers and pushing revenue towards £8m is a huge step forward for us.
“We’re looking forward to working with the team to deliver even greater value to customers.”
