Digital start-up backed by Shipley fund

A digital start-up company based in Salts Mill has secured a grant from the Shipley Towns Fund to boost its growth plans.

Software development company, Tokenetic, offers businesses across all sectors a cost-effective, flexible alternative to offshoring software development.

The company is built on a unique model of hiring and mentoring newly qualified graduates from British universities, providing them with hands-on training under the guidance of its experienced founders.

Founded by Martin Greenwood and Robert Durkin, Tokenetic plans to expand to 15 employees within its first year.

Greenwood said: “The support from the Shipley Towns Fund and the Invest in Bradford team has been invaluable in helping us scale efficiently. Our approach allows us to provide businesses with a high-quality, agile, and cost-effective alternative to offshoring. Clients benefit from a UK-based, dedicated team that is responsive, collaborative, and invested in their success.”

Bradford Council’s portfolio holder for regeneration, transport and planning, Alex Ross-Shaw said: “It’s fantastic to see an innovative start-up like Tokenetic growing in Shipley. Specialised roles in technology such as this are important to provide opportunities for skilled work locally, and this business looks set to go from strength to strength.”
