Group expands its portfolio by acquiring day nursery

Headingley Montessori day nursery, in Leeds, has been sold for an undisclosed sum.
Established in September 2018, the nursery has capacity for up to 112 children aged up to five years.
It was part of The Yorkshire Montessori Nursery Ltd and was recently brought to market to allow the group’s owners to focus on their other settings.
Following a confidential sales process with Grace Day at specialist business property advise Christie & Co, Headingley Montessori has been sold to The Counting House Nurseries, a private day nursery group with three other West Yorkshire locations.
Anthony Lee, owner and director at The Counting House Nurseries, said: “Headingly Montessori is a fantastic setting located in a spacious, detached building, filled with an abundance of character with a very welcoming atmosphere.
“Their spacious children’s rooms lend themselves to wonderful learning environments.
“This is closely aligned with our ethos in our existing group of nurseries, and I am really looking forward to welcoming the children and families into The Counting House at Headingley and working together moving forward.”
Day, business agent – Childcare & Education at Christie & Co, added: “It was a pleasure working with my client on the sale of her nursery and ensuring we found the right buyer.
“During the confidential marketing process, we were inundated by interest from both local and regional operators.
“I’m pleased that The Counting House Nurseries has acquired the setting, and I’m confident they will lead it to even greater success.”
