Fastest broadband now available to 95 per cent of region’s homes and businesses
South Yorkshire's Mayoral Combined Authority says the region has reached a milestone in digital connectivity.
It reports 95 per cent of homes and businesses in the region are now able to access gigabit-capable broadband, the fastest and most reliable internet currently available.
It notes this surpasses the target set in the South Yorkshire Digital Infrastructure Strategy which aimed for 95 per cent coverage by the end of 2025. The milestone was achieved in early November.
