Howdens builds momentum with solid early year growth

Howden Joinery has delivered a steady start to 2026, with sales growth holding firm despite fewer trading days and a still uncertain macro backdrop.

In a update covering the first 16 weeks of the year, the trade kitchen supplier reported underlying group revenue growth of 3.7%, or 2.8% on a same depot basis. The performance came against strong comparatives and with two fewer trading days than the prior year, a factor the business said reduced sales by around £11m.
