Remaining asylum seekers to be moved out of city centre hotel
Hull City Council has confirmed it has been told by the government that the remaining asylum seekers being housed in The Royal Hotel, in Ferensway, will be leaving the building.
The council said it had been in discussion with the Home Office, which is the public body responsible for management and dispersal of asylum seekers while their applications are processed. The Home Office works through its partner contractor, Mears Group.
