Leeds freight firm shut down after leaving suppliers with £650k debts
A Leeds freight company has been shut down after an Insolvency Service investigation uncovered hundreds of thousands of pounds in unpaid debts owed to businesses across the UK, Europe and the United States.
Malcolm Wright Associates Limited was wound up in the public interest following a hearing at the High Court in Manchester on Tuesday, August 11.
The company left at least 16 international freight businesses out of pocket after incurring costs between August and October 2024 without making payment.
