Dozens of affordable homes to comprise latest stage of regeneration
Lovell has broken ground on the latest phase of a programme to deliver a new urban village at the Ings estate, in East Hull.
The development off Balham Avenue will feature 84 homes for affordable rent and shared ownership, including two, three and four-bedroom houses.
The multi-million pound regeneration project at the Ings estate, which will deliver more than 700 homes in total, forms part of a strategic long-term partnership between Lovell, Compendium Living, Hull City Council and Together Housing, with funding from Homes England and the UK Government’s Brownfield Land Release Fund.
So far the partnership has delivered 400 mixed-tenure homes at the Ings estate with a new neighbourhood park linking directly to the key community green space, Bluebell Fields.
Alex Isted, Lovell regional managing director Eastern, said: “The major regeneration at the Ings estate demonstrates what long-term partnerships can achieve.

Councillor Paul Drake-Davis, portfolio holder for regeneration and housing at Hull City Council, said: “It is fantastic to see this new housing development start on site, to deliver 84 much needed affordable homes for the local community.
“The partnership between the council, Lovell and Together Housing represents a great opportunity for a high-quality affordable housing scheme to prevail – I’m excited to see the new homes when they are complete.”
