News in Brief: New wealth management firm launched, Hairdresser cuts into West Yorkshire

AN accountant and business advisory firm and an independent financial advisory company in York have teamed up to launch a new wealth management service.
A range of wealth management expertise including bespoke pension arrangements, corporate investment, trusts, inheritance tax planning and employee benefit schemes are available from the alliance between HPH Chartered Accountants and IFA Pearson Jones.
Among members of the Pearson Jones’ York team who will work alongside HPH Chartered Accountants to offer the service are senior consultant Sue O’ Donnell and Pearson Jones’ York-based director of wealth management John Metcalf.
HPH Chartered Accountants partner Robert Woolley said: “This new alliance is part of our aim to offer our clients and prospects a full business advisory service for their accounting, taxation and business needs. We will work closely alongside the Pearson Jones’ consultants who will have in-depth client knowledge by being part of our office with full access to files and information where this is required as part of their service.
“The combined skills of HPH Chartered Accountants and Pearson Jones are complementary and will add real value for our growing client base which will benefit from the innovative pension, investment planning and wealth management solutions that the Pearson Jones team brings to this alliance.”

FATHER and son hairdressing team Russell and Robert Eaton have opened a new £350,000 salon in Leeds city centre after securing funding from NatWest.
The duo have opened their Boar Lane salon more than 30 years after Russell founded is first salon in Barnsley. The new business has created nine jobs.
Russell Eaton said: “Opening a new salon in the centre of Leeds has realised a long held ambition for the whole family. We’ve worked hard to build a very strong reputation in Barnsley over a period of time and we’ll be looking to use the same model in the new salon by consistently providing a fantastic customer experience and a great product.”
NatWest’s business and commercial team in Barnsley provided funding through the Government-backed Enterprise Finance Guarantee scheme. Lombard, the asset finance arm of the RBS Group, provided funding to fully equip the new salon.
