TRAINING consortium Performance Development Group (PDG) has kick-started a joint venture with Bradford Bulls Rugby League Club to host a monthly breakfast club.
Business Excellence Breakfast Clubs will incorporate keynote speakers including top sport personalities and successful business people in an attempt to motivate and encourage local businesses to realise their potential.
The first even on April 11 will take place at the Grattan Stadium in Bradford with an address from JCT 600's head of marketing Christine Gilliver.
PDG founder Michael Barker said:”We have some excellent speakers lined up who are all are outstanding in their field and promise to be informative and entertaining. OFFICE workers who suffer from lower back pain (LBP) are being urged to attend an exhibition which will give tips on how to alleviate the problem.
Research has claimed that 4.9 million working days are lost to LBP every year, with each affected employee taking an average of 19 days off work.
Tolessa Orthopaedics and Agape Health have organised an event, entitled 'A multidisciplined approach to the management of low back pain (LBP)' and taking place on March 17, to target the problem, offering advice on the causes of low back pain, how the symptoms can be relieved, what help is available, and how to minimise the possibility of future suffering.
The event is taking place at Huddersfield Media Centre between 10am and 2pm.

UK franchising expert Franchise Development Services (FDS) Northern will be offering entrepreneurs advice at a free roadshow event on Thursday.
Tony Urwin will be the guest speaker at the Gumption Franchise Roadshow, which takes place at the Gumption Centre in Bradford from 2pm to 4.30pm.
It is aimed at people interested in finding out the benefits of buying a franchise to start up a business and existing companies with potential to franchise out their operation and radically grow.
Gumption co-owner, David Robertson-Brown, said: “The roadshow is ideal for anyone who is considering starting a franchise because our guest speakers will give valuable tips on the best way to go about starting a franchise business or selling one. THE strength of the professional and financial sectors in the Sheffield region has never been healthier according to Pro-Sheffield's newly promoted executive manager Jill Boyington.
Formerly events and communications manager at the membership organisation based in Sheffield she will take on a more active role working closely with chairman Tony Goulbourn and the Pro-Sheffield board of directors.
Ms Boyington said: “The interests of the professional and financial sectors in the region have never been better represented and, particularly in light of Sheffield's economic masterplan, Pro-Sheffield continues to play an increasingly active part in promoting those interests.”
