Manufacturer in finance boost

A YORKSHIRE manufacturing company which specialises in creating bespoke door panels has secured funding to enable it to expand.

Rotherham-based Barrick Mouldings produces UPVC in-door panels for businesses including Speedframe, New Century Windows and Eurocell Profiles.

The company plans to increase business by 50% over the next five years through its research and development into cream and coloured skins to satisfy demand from the market place.

Barrick Moulding secured the funding from business finance provider, Cattles Invoice Finance.

Having already moved into larger premises, Barrick also intends on increasing its staff numbers by a quarter and plans to invest heavily in new machinery and technology.

Sales director Keith Wilson said: “We're a customer focused business, specialising in traditional methods of manufacturing hand crafted designs for door panels.

“Our clients require bespoke rather than 'off the shelf' products and we have always fought shy of the quick buck import trends. Consequently, we don't mass-produce products like many of our competitors; we ultimately spend more time in production. “

Calvin Dexter, regional sales director for Cattles Invoice Finance Yorkshire, said: “Businesses like Barrick Mouldings can have their growth and ability to develop new product ranges stifled by lack of funding, especially if their customers fail to pay outstanding invoices.

“This can make them nervous about taking on large orders, as they fear that they may not have the funds to complete the work.

“As the manufacturing industry continues to struggle, it is important that bespoke manufacturers like Barrick Mouldings can secure the financial support they need to expand and succeed. We are delighted to be able to play a role in growing a UK manufacturing business.”
