No question of Yorkshire MIPIM success

SENIOR figures from the property industry gathered at an event in Leeds which was dubbed Yorkshire's answer to MIPIM.

Yorkshire MIPIM 2008, The NICE (Not in Cannes Event) Quiz Night was the first of two events held this week to offer those not attending the international property conference in the South of France an opportunity to meet and do business with key figures from the industry in the region.

Yorkshire Bank teamed up with property advisers King Sturge and accountants Grant Thornton to host the French-themed event at 3 Albion Place in Leeds last night.

More than 80 people attended the quiz which saw teams face 20 questions ranging from property to pop, sport to media posed by question master David Parkin, Editor of TheBusinessDesk.com.

Patrick Walton, managing partner of Yorkshire Bank's Financial Solutions Centre in Leeds joined with Paul Naylor, head of property at Grant Thornton and Colin Fell, partner in charge of King Sturge, Leeds, to welcome guests and say that the event was an opportunity for those who had not flown out to Cannes this week to get together with other members of the region's property community to do business.

The second Yorkshire MIPIM 2008 event is a drinks reception hosted by King Sturge at The Waterhole in Great George Street, Leeds, tomorrow lunchtime.
