He has been appointed as a member of the Barclays Industry Strategy Board, which develops national strategy, steers local relationship teams and helps drive Barclays commitment to help the UK’s manufacturing base grow and remain competitive on a global scale.
Mr Forrest said: “I am delighted to lead this key sector for the bank across the Northern region, supporting manufacturers with the challenges and opportunities they face in the current market.”
Tony Walsh, managing director for Barclays Northern region, said: “Manufacturing is a vital sector for the Northern region and this appointment will ensure that we continue to drive our manufacturing expertise to the heart of our relationships with our clients.”
