Fisher invests in Flats in Leeds
PROPERTY firm Flats in Leeds has secured new investment and opened a new headquarters in the city centre.
Former Huddersfield Town chairman Terry Fisher has joined the business as non-executive chairman.
Flats in Leeds, launched 11 years ago by Christine Yorath has also opened its new head office on The Calls.
She said: “These are exciting times for Flats in Leeds and the new HQ offers us a great shop window for people living or working in the city centre.
“So far we have grown organically, but plans are afoot to increase the size of the business by acquisition which will establish Flats in Leeds as one of the major players in the Leeds property sector at a time when the city’s rental sector is beginning to flourish again and I’m delighted that Terry Fisher has come on board at such an exciting time.
“His experience and knowledge, as a successful entrepreneur within the corporate world, will prove invaluable to our on going plans.”
Mr Fisher started his own travel company at the age of 19 which was the fifth largest in the UK when it was sold in 1998. Until last December he was chief executive of Thomas Cook Scheduled Businesses.
