NBA4Business to deliver funded training courses to region’s businesses

TRAINING provider NBA4Business has been appointed by Higher York and the University of York to deliver a series of funded training workshops to Yorkshire businesses.
York-based NBA4Business will provide training in sales, marketing and business development in a series of courses at York Science Park, which are being 60% funded by Higher York and the University of York.
The funding provides access to expert training support for the region’s businesses, of any size, from anywhere in the Yorkshire & Humber region and from any sector, excluding the public sector.
Nick Bramley, managing director of NBA4Business and an associate lecturer at Leeds University Business School and Bradford University School of Management as well as the University of York, said: “The training we are providing on behalf of The University of York and Higher York Partnership is in response to the Yorkshire Forward and Business Link “Out Of Recession” initiative from 2009 into 2010.
“This looked at how businesses could improve the skills of their workforce in order to get the region out of recession as quickly as possible. It identified what the region needed in terms of skills; sales, marketing and business development emerged as key priorities.”
He added: “Yorkshire Forward decided it would fund the delivery of training to fulfil the skills gap, which is why businesses are being offered the chance to attend these workshops and seminars at a significantly reduced rate, helping them to help their business succeed and flourish, ready for the upturn.”
The dates of the training courses are as follows:
April 27: Sales Workshop – Client Management – Leveraging the Relationship – 9.00am –5.00pm
May 11: Sales Workshop – Sales Management – How to Get the Best Out of a Sales Team – 9.00am –5.00pm
April 23: Sales Masterclass 1 – Building Business Development Success – 1.00pm –5.00pm
April 30: Sales Masterclass 2 – Presentation Skills – Effective & Confident Presentation Techniques – 9.00am –5.00pm
May 7: Sales Masterclass 3 – Networking With Skill & Confidence – 9.00am – 1.00pm
May 14: Sales Masterclass 4 – Coaching – Effective Personal & Team Goal Setting & Results Achievement – 9.00am – 1.00pm
The sessions are funded to 60% of the normal market value, making any full day session £78.00 and any half day session £52.00. By booking any four full day workshops at the same time, the cost of the four days is £200.00.
Any four half day masterclasses booked at the same time will cost £152.00.
To qualify for the funding, a booking must be made to exceed seven hours of learning and development time.
