Restaurant move for catering firm

CATERING company Food4Thought is moving into a new market with the acquisition of Sowerby Bridge restaurant 12.04.

The restaurant will be rebranded SALT Bar and Grill, a reference to the historic use for the grade II listed building.

Buying 12.04 will double Food4Thought’s workforce to more than 60 and coincides with the firm’s tenth anniversary.

Anthony Watkins, managing director of Food4Thought, said: “Opening a restaurant something I have long wished to do.  However, from a business perspective it had to be at the right time and place, which fortunately is the case with SALT. 

“It is a beautiful and historic building in the fastest growing town in Calderdale – with arguably the most vibrant night life and extensive range of eateries in the region.”

The 12.04 Restaurant is being sold by JW Lees & Co.
