£1.2m of contract wins for Clyde

GLOBAL pneumatic conveying and air filtration systems provider Clyde Process Solutions today annouced two new contracts within the minerals and chemicals markets valued at £1.2m.

CPS’s North American operation has secured a £700,000 order from an engineering and construction company to supply a pneumatic conveying system that will transport fly ash, which will be used as an aggregate raw material in the manufacture of construction products.

The system will be commissioned at a facility located in Maryland, USA.

In addition, the Doncaster-based company’s South African operation has won a £500,000 order from one of the world’s major integrated and diversified chemical companies.

CPS will supply the customer with a pneumatic conveying system that will transport limestone over a distance of 450m at 30 tons per hour from an existing bulk storage silo to a feed hopper on a new plant located in South Africa.

Alex Stewart, chief executive of Clyde Process Solutions, said: “Our order book and order intake levels have steadily increased since the turn of 2010 and both of these contracts represent this positive trend.

“It is especially pleasing that our South African subsidiary has diversified into chemicals, which we anticipate will be a growing market for our technologies.

“Both of these contracts have been secured at competitive levels of contribution and are in line with management expectations.

“We believe that capital expenditure plans are being accelerated across many of our key customer markets and the group is embarking on global strategies that will enhance our existing pipeline of sales opportunities.”
