YIBC promises the secrets behind the success of super chef Ramsay

THE man behind one of the most successful and controversial business brands and names – Gordon Ramsay – will be talking about their incredible success story to delegates at the Yorkshire International Business Convention (YIBC) next month.

Chris Hutcheson is well qualified to talk about Gordon Ramsay because apart from being the other half of the Ramsay business partnership, as father of the fiery chef’s wife Tana, he’s also Gordon’s father-in-law.

The two men have run the business since 1998 and from launching one restaurant in London the Ramsay brand now covers global book publishing with Ramsay’s book titles published in fourteen languages, restaurants in five continents, and television contracts in both the UK and USA.

Even before teaming up with Gordon Ramsay Chris Hutcheson had proved Chris Hutchesonhimself to be an entrepreneur when at the age of just 22 he left the London College of Printing with an HND in printing management and decided to establish his own business by taking over a small print finishing company.

During the following 25 years he built the operation into the largest display and point of sale print finishing company in the UK.

YIBC chief executive Mike Firth explained that Chris had agreed to talk at the Convention after one of the scheduled speakers Brian Kalma had had to pull out for business reasons.

“Chris has a great story to tell and he’s a compelling speaker. I have absolutely no doubt that the delegates will pick up some valuable lessons from him about business success not to mention how to deal with an ego like his son-in-law!”

Chris Hutcheson joins five other speakers at the Convention with the keynote address being delivered by Sir David Frost.

This year’s Convention is being held on Friday June 11 at the Yorkshire Event Centre in Harrogate and Bridlington Spa.
