Ambitious GO-SIM makes second acquisition

LEADING global SIM card company GO-SIM has completed its second acquisition in as many months.

The Yorkshire-based firm has bought Miami firm Oneroam Communications for an undisclosed sum.

It follows GO-SIM’s acquisition of Oneroam UK earlier this year with the transition of customer care and service of its customers completed in March.

David Agar, GO-SIM’s chief executive, said the firm’s long-term aim was to become the number one supplier of prepaid SIM cards in the world and that it was looking for further opportunities to expand the business.

“Completing the Oneroam US purchase only one month after the previous acquisition clearly shows how determined we are to achieve our growth objectives,” he said.

“We’ve also had some interesting calls from other competitors, and I hope to be able to announce more exciting news soon.”

Mr Agar said that Americans were increasingly becoming aware of the high coast of roaming and that GO-SIM’s latest acquisition would further boost its customer base in the US.

GO-SIM provides innovative new products and services to make it easier and cheaper to use a mobile phone while travelling abroad.

Users simply swap their normal SIM card and replace it with a GO-SIM card whileroaming enabling them to save up to 85% on call costs.
