Regional agencies named in RAR Top 100

FIFTEEN marketing services agencies in Yorkshire have been named in an influential league table of the top 100 companies within the sector.
Brilliant Media, which was recently bought by MediaCom, was named fourth in the Recommended Agency Register league table, while Intermarketing, which has completed a management buyout, was placed sixth.
The RAR Top 100 highlights marketing services companies, regardless of discipline, who perform well, grow their revenue, handle good business and consistently satisfy their clients.
Rankings are applied by analysing agencies’ turnover, turnover per head, turnover growth, gross profit and gross profit growth.
The average turnover for agencies in Yorkshire was found to be £15.3m. Gross profit on average was £2.24m, while turnover per head in the region was £184,844.
Other agencies to make the list were Sheffield-based MB Advertising and Marketing (11th), search and social media specialist Home James (19th).
Brass, Coolpink, Evoluted, Involve, MadeByPi, Numiko, Open Communications, Public, Rare, Twenty-six and Vivid Creative also made the Top 100.
Steve Antoniewicz, managing director of RAR, said: “This year’s results show that across all regions some marketing agencies continue to thrive, despite the challenging economic climate.
“In the top 100 we’re looking at how profitable agencies are, how well they are growing, and how efficient they are in terms of turnover per head of staff.
“Before clients commit their expenditure these days they look for agencies with solid business performance. The companies included here are all performing well on that measure.”
