Appointments:

GRANT Thornton has strengthened its team of tax specialists in Yorkshire.
Fletcher Adamowicz has joined the firm’s Leeds office where he holds the role of senior manager.
He started his career at Ernst & Young where he spent eight years working in its mid-market and private client teams.
Neil Sengupta, partner in Grant Thornton’s business tax services team in Yorkshire, said: “We have seen a definite upturn in the volume of deals in recent months and Fletcher will further strengthen our specialist team by helping us to provide expert advice on the tax aspects of transactions.”

RICHARD Giles and Justin Donn have joined PwC’s Yorkshire pensions advisory practice.
Mr Giles takes the role of director after moving to Leeds from the Midlands while Mr Donn joins as manager from London.

DIRECT Law and Personnel has appointed Duncan Edwards as head of advocacy.
Mr Edwards has worked with clients across the UK representing on behalf of both the care and medical sector.
He said: “I am extremely excited to be joining the team at Direct Law and Personnel and helping their advocacy department to grow. I wanted to be a part of an exciting, growing business and contribute my expertise to the growth.
