Building briefs: LSH enters auction market: Harrogate home for Hanson

NATIONAL commercial property consultancy Lambert Smith Hampton is making an entrance into the auction market.
The auction team joins from Colliers International and consists of Simon Riggall, Auctioneer, Richard Argles and Graham Johnston, Its client base draws largely from the public sector, private and institutional investors and the insolvency sector.
LSH’s auction team will hold national and regional auctions, with one taking place at Magna Science Adventure Centre in Rotherham on Wednesday 17 November.

ONE of the UK’s biggest names in the construction industry has chosen Harrogate’s Pannal Business Park for its newest operation.
Hanson Quarry Products has submitted plans to build an ultra-modern, small-scale concrete batching plant at the former Dunlopillo site, together with a new access road leading to it from the A61 at beyond Spaceyhouses.
And, if sanctioned by planners in August, it will also take the number of businesses who have re-located there to nearly 30 in just under two years.
Nick Prescott for the site’s agents, Gent Visick, said: “This is a massive vote of confidence in Pannal Business Park. The site is home to a diverse number of local companies, employing in excess of 100 people between them.

OFFICE space at Harrogate’s Cardale Park has been purchased by local firm Arc Property Solicitors.
The Studio has been acquired by the firm as its new headquarters, through national property consultants Carter Jonas.
Arc Property Solicitors will move its Harrogate base in Simpson House, off Cornwall Road, into the 3,700 sq ft of modern detached offices.
Richard Chan of Arc Property Solicitors said: “The Studio offers us all the space and facilities we are in need of at the current time, whilst being situated in the heart of one of Harrogate’s most thriving business areas.”
