EDP sounds positive note

ELECTRONIC Data Processing believes it is “well placed” to ride out uncertainty in the UK economy.
In a stock market update the Sheffield-based company said activity levels were at “broadly similar levels” to last year.
EDP specialises in the supply of software to wholesalers, merchants and distributors.
It said: “Trading conditions have remained challenging due to macro economic conditions in the UK which continue to cause a degree of uncertainty for our customers.”
The company stressed its strong debt-free balance sheet which includes £5.1m in cash and recurring revenues which represent 81% of turnover.
