Dedicated auction centre opens

MORE than £200,000 has been raised on behalf of clients since chartered surveyors Eddisons opened a dedicated auction centre.
The 15,000 sq ft premises in Bradford will provide a base from where the firm can store and prepare assets from bailiffs, insolvency practitioners and private clients, for sale through its online auction site.
Jason Pinder, head of machinery and business assets for Eddisons, said: “We have seen a major increase in the amount of plant, equipment and stock we are being asked to dispose of and the centre allows us to store and market this efficiently on a clients’ behalf.
“Initially we will hold a sale every two weeks. Viewing will always take place on a Tuesday with bids being accepted on the internet during Wednesday when the auction closes.”
Since opening in January, the auction centre has carried out a number of large sales which have raised in excess of £200,000 for clients.
Disposals have covered trucks, cars, Mercedes commercial vehicle spares, fork lift trucks and equestrian products.
Sales planned over the next few weeks include over more than new fireplaces, office equipment and waste paper bailers.
There will also be a sale of prestigious cars, including a 2011 Porsche Panamera 4S.
