FURNITURE manufacturer TS Booker and Son (Manufacturing) has switched its corporate banking to The Co-operative Bank.
The company, based in Wakefield, West Yorkshire, is a leading designer, manufacturer and installer of fitted furniture for nurseries, schools, colleges, student accommodation and prisons.
TS Booker was established by Thomas Booker in 1938 and developed as a family business until 1998, when current directors Stuart Olney and Ken Steel organised a management buy-in from the Booker family.
TS Booker had banked with Bank of Scotland (HBOS) for three years, but has decided to move to The Co-operative Bank.
John Franklin, senior corporate manager at The C-operative Bank, said: “TS Booker is a thriving business, providing high quality product and services. We look forward to helping Stuart and Ken to achieve their business ambitions in the years to come.”

ONLINE audio visual and hi fi products retailer and installer Pixll.co.uk has said it is taking advantage of homeowners looking to improve their homes rather than move.
The Yeadon, Leeds-based business has won a number of contracts to supply and install bespoke audio visual systems.
The business is run by brothers Chris and Steve Sullivan.
Chris said: “We’ve found that in the economic downturn and static housing market homeowners are looking to make improvements to their properties rather than move house.
“We’ve been approached by several customers to convert these spaces into purpose built cinema rooms with the latest 3D projection systems, flat panel tv’s and audio systems.”
The pair are also seeing rising demand for pupose built homes which include wireless multiroom audio, keyless/remote entry alarm, automated lighting control systems and Ipad control.

IT specialists Claritas has developed an online facility to ensure NHS essentials get delivered within hours.
Contracted by Nottingham Rehab Supplies [NRS], a leader in providing and managing equipment and services on behalf of local authorities, Yorkshire-based Claritas has develoepd a system to ensure clinicians get vital patient items to their destination.
The facility resembles an online shopping site.

WEETWOOD Hall Conference Centre & Hotel in Leeds has become one of only two venues in the country to be re-accredited with the AIM Gold accreditation from the Meetings Industry Association (MIA).
The award, presented to Weetwood Hall’s general manager Peter Chubb by MIA chairman Peter Darnell and chief executive Jane Longhurst, certifies the range of facilities along with the working practices that enable service excellence to be achieved.
Mr Chubb said: “This is a fantastic achievement for Weetwood Hall, as this is the second time we have been awarded the AIM Gold accreditation for not just recognising the high standards of our services and facilities but also recognising our staff retention, strong team spirit, and our coordinated approach to environment and sustainability and my thanks go out to everyone involved within the Weetwood Hall team.”
