FREEDOM Clinics, which was established by Yorkshire businessmen Andrew Thirkill and David Hood in 2009 to provide specialist back and sports injury treatment, has extended its services into hearing care.

The clinic can now provide specialist care and advice on hearing loss, tinnitus, hyperacusis (over sensitivity to sound), obscure auditory dysfunction, balance disorders, dizziness and digital hearing aid technology.

A team of audiologists led by Jon Tandy provides the services.
 
To facilitate these services Freedom has invested in state of the art audiology equipment so patients will experience the best possible outcomes.

AN internet provider has ensured all lines of communication remain open during the filming of a popular ITV detective drama series in Yorkshire.

CCS, the Leeds-based web hosting and broadband internet provider, has installed a temporary VoIP (Voice over the Internet Protocol) telephone system for the production crew of the DCI Banks series.

Left Bank Pictures is currently filming the second series of the detective drama, starring Stephen Tompkinson and Andrea Lowe, which is based on the series of books by Peter Robinson and set in Leeds and neighbouring towns and cities.

CCS carried out the work at the production team’s base in Leeds in time for the start of filming later this month.

AN eco-fair is to take place in Yorkshire on May 1.

Ecofair 2012 will offer businesses environmental advice, green services and expertise and is expected to attract more than 100 exhibitors.

Eco-fair co-ordinator Sam Saxby said: “The aim of Eco-fair is to inform and equip businesses with green alternatives in order to make a lasting difference to our environment and help businesses save money.”

HARROW Green, the business relocation specialist, has won a contract to manage Wakefield Library’s move from the city centre to its new home at Wakefield One. 

The project, which is due to start later this year, will see the company, which has its North East regional centre in Leeds, also undertake the packing and relocation of stock.

Wakefield library presently occupies two locations – the main lending library in Drury Lane and the Balne Lane local studies, reference library and administrative HQ. Both will relocate to the new site.
