Debate to tackle if businesses can be green and profitable

HOW and if businesses can be green and profitable will be debated at The Leeds Annual Business Lecture tonight.
David Parkin, editor of TheBusinessDesk.Com will lead the debate at the lecture which will be hosted by Junior Chamber International (JCI) Leeds.
Keynote speaker, Mike Smith, head of sustainable development for Yorkshire Forward, is responsible for a £35m budget and has considerable experience environmental business support will be joined by panellists Quentin Drewell, ARUP, Carl Hopkins, JumbleAid, Des North, Premier Farnell and Adam Woodhall, PeopleProfitPlanet.
Adam Woodhall, past president of JCI Leeds and managing director of PeopleProfitPlanet said: “This prestigious event will highlight ‘green’ business facts and see if there are any fictions. With environmental issues moving into the core of businesses today, I’m looking forward to hearing from my fellow panellists and their thoughts on the subject.”
Junior Chamber International (JCI) is a global organisation for young people in their 20’s and 30’s in 120 different countries worldwide.
JCI Leeds has been a part of the Leeds business community for over 50 years and is the largest Junior Chamber in the UK.
More than 60 people have already booked for the event which starts at 6pm.
